Steve Nash continues to expand his MLS influence

NEW YORK / PHOENIX: Through several of his recent interviews, video features, and TV commercials, Steve Nash has helped explain to the NBA's fan base how soccer skills improve and accentuate his basketball skills.  He has helped give new exposure to Major League Soccer, and publicity from his summer stints in New York City has revived the movement to bring MLS to one of the five boroughs.

A number of his soccer-related videos are online, and will posted on this blog with related news items.

YouTube VIDEO: (posted by PhoenixSunsVideos) In the News This Week - due to his new investment in the new WPS league, this Suns' "Gametime" series feature gives relevant and interesting background facts on his lifelong history with soccer. Produced last season, before his most recent MLS Red Bulls workouts, but includes video from an earlier one, where he scrimmages with FC Barcelona. Also includes his meeting with Ronaldinho, and his own comments.

Nash plays soccer in New York's Central Park in the off-season with some of the New York Red Bulls.  Archived articles and photos will be linked here under the categories 'New York' and 'Red Bull New York'...
