Development News: Celtics' Garnett - a season of soccer sidelinin'

Kevin Garnett, who has extolled the virtues of the Premiership - and my favorite EPL team ARSENAL - and who loves to watch soccer on TV as well as in person whenever possible, will be leading his team to the NBA Finals against the NBA MVP Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers.

Garnett and the Celtics were in England last fall for two exhibition basketball games, and it was there that he and friends took in two EPL matches. Just prior to that, during the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup, he began talking about his 2007-08 season of soccer; he flashed his coveted EPL tickets for their UK tour, and since has also been seen around with stars from several major EPL and MLS teams.

The Boston Globe has had some good articles on Garnett's soccer escapades.
