In what is becoming something of a regular Independence Day tradition, the LA GALAXY and the NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION met on the night of July 4.
The difference this time - at least from recent years, is that this key match-up coincides with both teams leading their respective conferences... David Beckham scored his fifth goal of the season, but as the only Galaxy goal, this was not enough. The Revs' Adam Cristman scored two in the first half...
