As of Wednesday night, the USA Men have a perfect nine points from their first three matches in the semifinal round of the CONCACAF qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Tonight's 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago at home (venue: Chicago's Toyota Park) is added to the previous wins away, at Cuba last weekend, and Guatemala last month...
The goals scored in front the great home crowd at the Chicago Fire's new stadium were by: Michael Bradley (at 9'), Clint Dempsey (18'), and Brian Ching (57'). All three players have proven to be standouts for the USA, and Dempsey has now scored in each of his last four USMNT matches. The USA dominates Group 1, and will next meet up with Cuba at home in October. The Americans are certainly in the driver's seat with the most points possible from three matches in this round this far.
