So Cal Style: Donovan a frontrunner for league MVP
The brightest spot in LA's frustrating 2008 season is the fact that Landon Donovan continues to be the entire league's goal-scoring leader. This is enough to keep him in the running for the MLS regular-season Most Valuable Player award, though it may notbe enough to get the team into the playoffs...
While the latter is yet-to-be-determined (with a crucial game against no less than the number one team in the league next up tomorrow), the former possibility as MLS MVP is very real, with the 19 goals also being the most-ever by him, and likely to hold up for the Budweiser Golden Boot Award, given to the league's top goal scorer for the regular season...
As the Galaxy prepares for Saturday's match with the Columbus Crew, here is some audio from Donovan and others on the preparations; also included, a brand new and official team music video produced to honor their most recent triumph...the 5-2 drubbing of DC United, when Donovan scored a hat-trick and was given the MLS Player of the Week award...
