Our friends in Philadelphia will be joined by Commissioner Garber on Thursday for a special announcement...

(Press Release) MLS Commissioner Don Garber will make a major announcement regarding the future of professional soccer in Philadelphia on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Turbine Hall.

Joining Commissioner Garber will be the local ownership group that is seeking to bring the 16th Major League Soccer team to Philadelphia as part of a $500 million waterfront revitalization project in the historic City of Chester. Governor Edward G. Rendell and numerous other local, state and federal officials, along with soccer fans and luminaries will participate.
