Soccer is not the only one of the world's beautiful games being contested at these Olympics...
I found these two Chinese-themed TV commercials airing in the U.S. during the Games; in case you haven't seen them yet, I'd like to share them with you along with descriptions I've written here...
ENJOY =)
1. "Hu Jia" for ADIDAS (1:00) "Impossible is Nothing", according to the famous Chinese diver. --- He made a phenomenal comeback in the 2004 Olympic 10 m. platform diving competition, rallying from far down in the pack to capture Gold. --- His story is told to great effect here for adidas, using English subtitles.
2. "Yao Ming / Jackie Chan" for VISA (1:29) Inspired by Yao Ming, Jackie Chan uses his martial arts abilites to participate in several types of Olympics sporting events, including soccer, gymnastics, and table tennis, but he fails at each one. --- However, after getting so banged up, he does get to meet the NBA star at the conclusion of this 90 second commercial for VISA, the "only card accepted at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games"...
